The JV and Varsity teams traveled to McCluer North Friday night and they earned a split. In the JV game, it was close early but a big third quarter helped them beat the Stars 43-29. Mansa Lyons led the Patriots with 11 points.
The varsity found themselves down 14 in the second quarter and down 33-22 at the half. A 20 point third quarter helped them get back in the game and they took the lead with 1:14 to go 54-53. However two big three pointers by McCluer North in the last minute and a go ahead layup with three seconds left game gave the Stars a 58-56 win.
Evan Renz led all scorers with 18 points on four three pointers, DeMonte Hurt added 17 points white going seven of eight at the free throw line and recorded seven rebounds and Eddie Ahearn came down with 11 rebounds.

Rockwood Summit beat Parkway South in the final game of the Park/Rock Tournament Wednesday night at Eureka High School, 52-42. South jumped out to an early lead but trailed by two at the half. The second half went back and forth but in the end, the Falcons prevailed. Tristan Jones led the Patriots in scoring with 13 points.

Tuesday night at Hazelwood East, the Patriots won two out of the three games that were played. The freshmen team started things off with a 48-40 win behind Jacob Sidwell’s 16 points! The freshmen will play next tomorrow night at 6:30 against Summit at Eureka in the Park/Rock Tournament.
In the JV game, it went back and forth but in the end the Spartans held on for a 45-44 win, Sam Duncan led the Patriots with 18 points.
In the varsity game, the Patriots went up 14 points in the second quarter however….a 10-0 run to end the half for East had South up four at halftime. In the second half, South never gave up their lead but the game was tied with just under 2:00 to play. Two clutch free throws by Monte Hurt put South up 50-48 with 10 seconds remaining. The Patriots defense stopped the Spartans on their next possession and they held on for the 50-48 win! Hurt led all scorers with 17 points, Jaylen Calloway added 12 and Eddie Ahearn 10 for the Patriots.
