JV Tops Northwest

In the final game of the Lafayette JV Boys Basketball Tournament, the Patriots beat the Lions 42-33. The game was originally scheduled to be played at Summit High School but a HVAC issue forced the game to be played at Northwest High School. South improved their record to 10-10 on the season. Ross McCulla lead PS in scoring with 12 points.

South Sweeps South

Parkway South beat Lutheran South in all three games Wednesday night at Parkway South. In the Freshmen game in Gym C, the Patriots took an early 20 point lead and went on to win 55-39 behind 15 points from Tyler Shanfeld. In Gym A, the two JV teams went back and forth and with David Smith leading the way, the Patriots won 57-49.
The varsity fell behind by as many as 11 in the first half and trailed 35-31 at the half. A 28 point third quarter gave the Patriots a lead they would not give up and went on to win 70-63. Four players finished with double figures. Eddie Ahearn and Evan Renz had 14 points each, DeMonte Hurt had 16 and Jaylen Calloway had 25 points and was a perfect 10-10 on free throws!
