Rockwood Summit beat Parkway South in the final game of the Park/Rock Tournament Wednesday night at Eureka High School, 52-42. South jumped out to an early lead but trailed by two at the half. The second half went back and forth but in the end, the Falcons prevailed. Tristan Jones led the Patriots in scoring with 13 points.

Tuesday night at Hazelwood East, the Patriots won two out of the three games that were played. The freshmen team started things off with a 48-40 win behind Jacob Sidwell’s 16 points! The freshmen will play next tomorrow night at 6:30 against Summit at Eureka in the Park/Rock Tournament.
In the JV game, it went back and forth but in the end the Spartans held on for a 45-44 win, Sam Duncan led the Patriots with 18 points.
In the varsity game, the Patriots went up 14 points in the second quarter however….a 10-0 run to end the half for East had South up four at halftime. In the second half, South never gave up their lead but the game was tied with just under 2:00 to play. Two clutch free throws by Monte Hurt put South up 50-48 with 10 seconds remaining. The Patriots defense stopped the Spartans on their next possession and they held on for the 50-48 win! Hurt led all scorers with 17 points, Jaylen Calloway added 12 and Eddie Ahearn 10 for the Patriots.

The Freshmen fell behind 9-0 early but was able to chip away at the lead and beat Parkway North in round two of the Park/Rock Tournament 37-35! The Patriots were able to take a six point lead with 3:45 to play only to see PN tie the game with 1:00 left. Rashad Willis scored with :20 left to give South the lead and the zone defense was able to stop the Vikings on the next PS possession! Willis led South with 13 points.
The Freshmen will play for 5th place against Summit Wednesday night at 6:30 at Eureka High School.

In the opener of the Freshmen Park/Rock Tournament played at Eureka High School Saturday morning, the Marquette Mustangs beat the Patriots 52-38. It was a two point game at the half, however Marquette pulled away towards the end. Tristen Jones led PS in scoring with 13 points.
Parkway South will play Parkway North Monday at 5:00 at Eureka in the next game in the tourney.
