Parkway South Patriots Basketball

The varsity game at Oakville Friday night has been cancelled due to Coivd protocol on the Oakville varsity team. All other games are on as scheduled. It is also Presents for Paws Night! Oakville is asking for donations of gently used towels and blankets, new or used dog/cat toys that will be donated to area animal shelters.

Tonight we are honoring Coach Tom Sucher as the first recipient of the Tom Sucher Ambassador Award. The Tom Sucher Ambassador Award will be an annual award that will honor a different person each year who has had a positive impact on the South basketball community through their efforts on and off the court in an effort to make South basketball as successful as it can be.

Coach Sucher started teaching here at South when the school opened in 1976 and retired from South in 2007. During those 30 plus years, he coached golf, water polo and basketball. He was a coach in the basketball program from 1976-1991, and again from 1996-2005. He served as the head coach of the program for 6 years, from 1999-2005.
During his time coaching basketball, Coach Sucher was a positive influence for his players on and off the court, and in fact has coached 3 of our current coaches while they were in high school. It is with great honor that we award this plaque to Coach Tom Sucher for all his efforts to make South basketball a great program.

Varsity Tip 6:00

The 2021-22 Linneman Tip Off Tournament is in the books and the South Freshman team went a perfect 3-0 to win the tourney! The beat Central on November 23, 39-31 then beat West on the 30th 56-35 and took down North on December 3rd, 47-35! Congrats to the coaches and players!
The JV team split the two games that they played with the win coming over Parkway Central 41-27.
The Varsity Patriots went 1-2, they beat North 59-58. In that game they were down 11 with just over 4:00 to go and game back to win!

Tonight’s JV boys basketball game at Parkway North has been cancelled due to Covid protocol in the North JV team. All other games are on as scheduled.
