Both the JV and Varsity Patriots beat Howell North Tuesday Night in Gym C at Parkway South. The JV opened up a double digit lead and held on for a 45-43 win. At the free throw line, the Knights were 16-17 to make it close at the end.
In the varsity game, South started the game on a 10-0 run and led 15-4 after the first quarter. By the half, South was up 29-9 and cruised to a 49-26 win. Three Patriots had double figures in the win….Eddie Ahearn 10 points, 9 rebounds….Ross McCulla 11 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks…Ryan Shanfeld 13 points, 3 steals

The JV Patriots won their home opener in Gym C Tuesday night over Gateway STEM, 58-53. The team was led by Jacob Sidwell with 23 points. The JV returns home next Tuesday at 4:30 vs Howell North.
The varsity won their first game of the year over STEM in their home opener 76-59, Three Patriots scored in double figures led by Ross McCulla with 20 points, Eddie Ahearn had 14 and Ryan Shanfeld also had 14 points. McCulla recorded the first double double of the season with his 20 points and 15 rebounds. Ahearn was 12-14 from the free throw line. The varsity returns to South next Tuesday at 6:00 vs Howell North.

Boys Games in Gym C

Due to the construction in Gym A, we are going to play our first three boys basketball games in Gym C. These game dates are 12/4, 12/12, and 12/20. We will have to modify the attendance during these games due to only have one side of bleachers in Gym C. Below is the modifications for these three games:
- Any person that purchased an Athletic Pass is allowed in Gym C
-Immediate family member of the players for both home and away spectators
-No students are allowed unless they have an Athletic Pass or are part of the family of a player.

The Freshmen team opened their season with a 47-34 win over Parkway Central in the opening game of the Linneman Tip Off Classic at Parkway West Tuesday night. Zach Hinds led South in scoring with 17 points.
In the second game of the evening, the varsity fell behind early and lost 58-27 to a veteran Colts team. Oliver Kokal led all scorers with 17.
The final game of the night saw an aggressive JV team come from behind to win 50-45, they forced many turnovers and scored in transition! Isaiah Scott led the JV in scoring with 13 points.
All three levels will play at Parkway North next Tuesday.

Gym A Update -November 17

The walls have been painted, the bleachers are back in place, the floor has been laid and they have begun to paint the floor! We are hoping to back in Gym A at the beginning of 2024.
