5th Grade

The Freshmen team opened their season with a 47-34 win over Parkway Central in the opening game of the Linneman Tip Off Classic at Parkway West Tuesday night. Zach Hinds led South in scoring with 17 points.
In the second game of the evening, the varsity fell behind early and lost 58-27 to a veteran Colts team. Oliver Kokal led all scorers with 17.
The final game of the night saw an aggressive JV team come from behind to win 50-45, they forced many turnovers and scored in transition! Isaiah Scott led the JV in scoring with 13 points.
All three levels will play at Parkway North next Tuesday.

The walls have been painted, the bleachers are back in place, the floor has been laid and they have begun to paint the floor! We are hoping to back in Gym A at the beginning of 2024.

Workers are moving along nicely with the new gym floor in Gym A! They are adding the final layer in the middle of the gym the week of October 16th and then will remove the bleachers to take out the old floor and add the new floor under the bleachers. We are still hopeful it will all be completed by January 1, 2024!
The walls have also been painted with a new section of red paint close to the top of the walls.
